Verizon
Destination Stores

In 2013, my group at AKQA proposed a new store type to Verizon that would focus on the concept of “connected lifestyle”, just as smart-home products, wireless speakers, and wearable tech were starting become more mainstream.

The store type, known as a Destination Store, would give shoppers an opportunity to play and discover, as well as position Verizon to be on the forefront of digital trends.

My role was to manage the creative team while extending the concept to additional locations and scaling down some elements for other store types.

Interactive Sales Floor

One of the key features of the Destination Store model is an active sales floor that encourages engagement between products and shoppers.

The Destination Store also features an interactive product wall for mobile devices that has a touch-screen display, making it easy for the sales team to compare products and explain features, while adding more fun and engagement for shoppers.
